Fritillariae tubers are dry bulbs of the Liliaceae Fritillaria plants, which have a utilization history of 2000 years in our country, and have been used as an antitussive, antiasthmatic and expectorant using the Chinese name "Beimu" in traditional Chinese medicine. Fritillaria shuchengensis is one kind plant of the genus Fritillaria, and the study on the chemical constituents of Fritillaria shuchengensis has not been reported.By the ways of strongly acidic cationic exchange resin, silica gel column chromatography, and recrystallization, 14 compounds have been isolated from the bulbs of Fritillaria shuchengensis. 8 compounds were identified by NMR etc, and they are veraflorizine 1, ebeinone 2, verticinone 3, isoverticine 4, trilinolein 5, phenanthrene 6, 2,5-dimethoxy-1,4-benzoquinone 7, tetradecane 8. All of them were isolated from this plant for the first time.We first systematically study the chemical constituents of Fritillaria shuchengensis, and offer an evidence for knowing the chemical constituents of this genus, developing and using this medical plant.
