Objective To summarize the diagnostic and therapeutic experience of KS, discuss the survival and prognosis. Patients and Methods 25 patients were reviewed retrospectively , tumor characterize, clinical features, management, oncologic outcomes and survival were analyzed in this study. Results 25 patients were all Ethnic Minorities, 24 Uygur and 1 Kazak . In classic KS the disease is restricted to the lower limbs, distant metastasis seldom ,while in AIDS associated KS cases it might be spread all over the body, including visceral involvement. In classic KS, 7 patients received radiotherapy, mean of dose is 3771cGy, CR and PR were observed in 71.4% (5/7) and 28.6%(2/7) ,respectively;all were survival. 11 classic KS patients treated with Chemotherapy and Biotherapy, the rate of PR were 36.4%(4/11)and the rate of no response were 63.6%(7/11), The effective rate was 36.4%. In the same patient,2 patients died of other diseases,6 patients survived. In AIDS-associated KS, 7 patients treated with Highly active anti-retroviral therapy (HAART), immunotherapy and Biotherapy. In the same patient,4 patients died,1 patient survived, the lesions had no progress. Conclusion In Xinjiang, the incidence of KS is more common in Ethnic Minorities, while the Han is rarely. Radiotherapy showed to be a safe and effective method, with relevant importance in the therapeutic strategy of KS , radical dose for more advanced KS suitably was about 40 Gy. radiotherapy Combined with biotherapy probably could improve the effect .AIDS-KS had bad curative effect and prognosis.
