Objective: 1?To investigate the clinical and pathological characteristics of classic Kaposi sarcoma in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,China, and to analyze its etiology, pathogenesis and treatment;2?To study the serum levels of testosterone in Xinjiang Han,Uygur and Kazak ethnic groups, and to explore the significance and role of androgen in the pathogenesis of classical Kaposi sarcoma in Xinjiang;3?To study the effect of dihydrotestosterone and estradiol on the proliferation of Kaposi sarcoma cells, and to explore the effect of sex hormones on the proliferation of Kaposi sarcoma cells. Methods: 1?Retrospective analysis 114 classic Kaposi sarcoma cases by clinical and pathological diagnosis from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University in 1980 to 2015,summed up and analyze its clinical and pathological characteristics,in order to explore its incidence and etiology, pathogenesis and treatment;2?we randomly selected healthy Han,Uygur,Kazak male with 100 samples of serum samples In our hospital physical examination center, aged 20 to 40 years old,The levels of testosterone in serum were measured by chemiluminescence. The variance analysis was used to compare the levels of testosterone between the two groups;3?Kaposi sarcoma cells SLK was purchased and subcultured, and then we used the concentrations of 1nm/L?10nm/L and 100nm/L,dihydrotestosterone?alpha estradiol and beta estradiol intervened the SLK cells for 24,48,and 72 hours respectively. Results: 1?among the 114 patients with CKS,100 patients were men and 14 patients were women, with a respective ratio of 7?1.The average age of these patients was 57.5 years old,and 97 of the patients were from the Uygur Autonomous Region(85.1%).Among the 114 patients,60 patients(52.6%)were from Southern Xinjiang,50 patients(43.9%)were from Northern Xinjiang and four patients(3.5%)were from Eastern Xinjiang. All patients were clinically characterized by pink to purple erythema, plaques or nodules;and these erythema, plaques and nodules represent different stages of KS.The histopathological sections of the 114 patients were reviewed, which revealed that 14 patients(12.3%)were in the erythema stage,80 patients(70.2%)were in the plaque stage and 20 patients(17.5%)were in the tumor stage. The patients in all three stages of disease revealed unique histopathological characteristics, which were consistent with clinical manifestations;2?Among the 100 healthy male serum samples between 20 and 40 years old,The mean testosterone level of the Han nationality was 16.64 ± 4.09(nmol / L);the average testosterone level of the Uygur was 17.00 ± 3.91(nmol / L);the average testosterone level of the Kazak was 16.87 ± 4.11(nmol / L),Use spss17.0 for statistical analysis,The data were analyzed by variance analysis,There was no significant difference between the three groups,P>0.05;3?SLK cells were treated with different concentrations of DHT for 24,48 and 72 hours,The DHT without any significant effect on the proliferation of SLK cells. The effects of ?-estradiol(?E2)and ?-estradiol(?E2)on the proliferation of SLK cells were observed at 24,48 and 72 hours after Acted on SLK cells, but both of them inhibited the proliferation of SLK cells and There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion: 1?CKS in the Uygurethnic group of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region often occurs in Uygur elderly, clinical manifestations of the extremities, purple blue or red brown plaques or nodules, pathological microscope showed dilated blood vessels, the number one around the spindle shaped tumor cell invasion,at the same time, accompanied by extravasation of red blood cells of hemosiderin deposition and fibrosis. The occurrence of CKS in Xinjiang may be associated with human herpes virus 8 infection,ethnicity-based susceptibility and other factors.2?There were no significant differences in the levels of testosterone between serum of Xinjiang Uygur,Kazak and Han adults, and the incidence of KS among different ethnic groups was different, and the susceptibility was not correlated with the testosterone level of all ethnic groups;3? Dihydrotestosterone has no significant effect on the addition of KS cells,?-estradiol and ?-estradiol all inhibited the proliferation of KS cells, and there was no significant difference between them(P>0.05),which may be explains why KS women have a lower incidence in clinical,It may also provide new directions with use of estrogen?estrogen receptor and combination of estrogen receptor for the intervention and treatment of KS in the future.
