Objective To investigate the effect of narrow-band ultraviolet B phototherapy on 27 cases psoriasis in expressing CD1a+DC and ki-67, so as to find out the effects on the immune system of the pathogenesis of psoriasis Methods The expression and distribu- tion of CD1a and ki-67 were detected by immunohistochemistry in the lesions of 27 cases with involved(before and after NBUVB treatment) and uninvolved psoriatic skin.. Useing Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI) to evaluate the severity of grade. Results The expressions of CD1a and ki-67 in involved psoriatic epidermis was significantly higher than those in uninvolved psoriatic epidermis(P<0.05); The expressions of CD1a and ki-67 in involved psoriatic epidermis before treatment was significantly higher than those in involved psoriatic epidermis after treatment(P<0.05);There were correlation between the PASI and the number of ki-67 (r= 0.52, P<0.05) There were no correlation between the PASI and the number of CD1a+DC(r= -0.27, P>0.05);After two months of NB-UVB treatment, PASI scores of patients decreased significantly( P < 0.05).Conclusion The expression of Ki-67 in psoriatic epidermis is associate with PASI. Immunopa- thogenesis.The treatment of NB-UVB could therapy psoriasis throughing induce the apoptosis of LC, restrain the proliferation of KC and induce KC apoptosis,modulate the immunologic system of skin ,namely,immune suppression.LC is correlation with the development of the lesion of psoriatic and CD1a + DC play an important role in the immunopathogenesis of psoriasis.
