Objective:To study the role of nm23 gene/NDPK and CD44v6 protein in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods:Expression of nm23 gene/NDPK and CD44V6 protein were analyzed in 58 cases of NSCLC by two steps of immuno histochemistry technique. Results:The overall positive rate of nm23 gene/NDPK staining was 87.9% (51/58).There was a statisticalty significant difference between T1-2 group and T3-4 group(p<0.05).For CD44V6,the overall positive rate was 55.2%(32/58),the positive rate of CD44V6 was higher in squamous cell carcinoma than in adenocarcinoma(85.7%;24%) p<0.05.The positive rate of CD44V6 was higher in moderate differentiation than in poor and good differentiation(71.9%;44.4%;35.3%; p<0.05).NM23 gene/NDPK CD44v6 expression is not associated with PTNM stage, lymph node metastasis and survival rate,(p>0.05).Conclusions:There are some relationships among expressions of nm23 gene/NDPK and CD44V6 in NSCLC and tumor size, histological classification and cell differentiation, and no relation in stage, lymphnode metaetesis and survival rate.
