There is a high prevalence of C hepatitis all over the world.C hepatitis is a kind of common disease impacting human's health, which has the characteristics such as low-curingrate, bad therapeutic efficacy, pathogenesis protraction. And C hepatitis correlates significantly with the happening and the developing of hepatic cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.Recently, the incidence rate upgrades year by year. Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is primary pathogen of chronic liver disease, according the statistics of WHO, the infection rate of the world was 3%, it has been resumed that there were more than 1.7 hundreds million infectors, fresh cases were more than abort 35 thousands every year. The overall prevalence of HCV infection in the China is high, 38000 thousands infectors, with most of the patients unaware of their infection and at risk for developing cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. In 1974, Goldfield reported the non-A, non-B hepatitis, in 1989, Choo found a kind of strain clips in serum of infected chimpanzees by PCR and molecule cloning technique, which could cause non-A, non-B hepatitis, and named the virus strain as hepatitis C virus.Hepatitis C virus (HCV), a member of the family Flaviviridae,is a major etiologic agent of C viral hepatitis. The viral genome encodes a polyprotein precursor, which is cleaved by cellular or virus-encoded proteases to generate at least nine viral proteins; the core and two envelope proteins (El and E2) and six nonstructural proteins (NS2, NS3, NS4a, NS4b, NS5a, and NS5b) . Among different isolates the nucleotide sequences of the HCV genome show considerable degrees of variation. There was a sort of research instruments of hepatitis C virus, such typing approachs have developped by ten year. It is so important to the investigation of HCV. There are so many typing means, including nucleotide esequence analyses, type-specificity primer farad, type-specificity probe cross farad, restrictive fragment length polymorphism analyses and DNA immunoenzymology experiment and so on. The odds of the both each methodological specificity and differ with sensibility, typing outcome too presence varying degrees. According different typing approaches, there are so different named system AND typing standard. We choosed the system of Simmonds et, al. which was founded with the core region, E1 genome and the region of NS5 nucleotidesequence analysis. The system also is the most useful system. Simmonds et al. have proposed that HCV be classified into at least six major types, each of which may be further divided into a few subtypes, e.g., HCV-la, HCV-lb, and HCV-lc. The prevalence of HCV subtypes differs among different geographical regions. For example, HCV-lb is the most prevalent subtype in Japan , whereas HCV-la is the most prevalent subtype in the United States . Likewise, HCV-3a is commonly found in Thailand and the United Kingdom , but not in Japan . Besides the geographical distribution, clinical features of HCV infection as well as responsiveness to interferon treatment appear to vary with different subtypes . It is thus important to determine HCV subtypes for epidemiological and clinical purposes. Now, we have lots of evidences for the different ends of these HCV infectors' genotyping. The infectors could change to healthy carrier, hepatitis, hepatic cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma with their infected genotyping. In the investigation, we differed the genotype of infectors who were HCV RNA positive in JiLin region with large sample. We aimed to investigate the disposition feature in Jilin region of each HCV genotyping, and the probability which the infectors with different genotypes would develop various ends, such as healthy carrier, hepatitis, hepatic cirrhosis and hepatocellular. Sera were obtained from a total of 105 HCV RNA positive patients in Jilin region, the results show that 60.74% patients with 1b genotype, 36.47% patients with 2a genotype. The results also displayed the diversity and combination of HCV infection. We detected I,IV,V single genotypes, and the upgrade of II /III incorporated genotypes. We have confirmed the existence of these above genotypes of HCV RNA positive patients in Jilin region.Genotype II is predominant type.It seems that we are uniform with the conclusions of other regions in the world. We have not found the difference of hepatopathy degrees. These are also in according to those reports before. With regard to the genotype distribution of HCV, Suxiufen made a research about the genotype distribution of HCV in Jilin Province in 1997. Cai Yi Shan publicated an article about the genotype distribution of HCV in some region of China in 2006. The results of our study and the two reported results have some difference, the difference may be related to the following factors: 1,In recent years, the mobility of the population between coastal and inland enhance, The infection rates of the several genotypes original distributed mainly in the southern and coastal areas become higher in inland areas now. 2,With increasing of the donors, intravenous drug users, homosexuals, the number of HCV infection increasing by blood and sex pathway day by day. 3,With the improvement of detection instruments, the detection rate upgrates visibly. These are also the occurrence reasons of genotypes which hadn't been seen in Jilin proince. We have discussed the new features of HCV genotyping in by large sample analysis. We have gained much improvement and development on the ground of others, and been more concrete on the distribution tendency in Jilin region.
