The sea cucumber is a low etc. in ocean echinoderm, its contents contain much active substance, is sour such as polysaccharides, unsaturated fatty acid , slycosides,sterols ,terpenes,cyclic peptides and macrocyclic lactones etc., among them the sterols is an important active substance. This research regard Apostichopus japonicus as the material, passing the hexane distill, saponification, the ether extractive, recrystallization in methyl alcohol, the acetic anhydride esterification, GC-MS method of using, authenticate 5 kinds of sterols totally, they respectively is:3β-7-en-3-ol-Cholest,3β, 5α-7, 22- dien -3-ol -Ergosta,Cholesterol,3β, 5α-7-en-3-ol- Cholest,Stigmastero, its percentage respective to 73.95%,8.35%,8.08%,7.29%,2.28% in order.
