Objective Study the changes of hemorheology in rabbit under the shin bone fracture and the impact of Salvia Miltiorrhiza or Tetramethylpyrazine on these changes.Methods The rabbits were divided into four groups at random: normal group, fracture group, Salvia Miltiorrhiza group and Tetramethylpyrazine group. the last three groups were made into fracture model. the last two groups feed Salvia Miltiorrhiza, Tetramethylpyrazine and add the basic fodder separately, the first two groups only feed the basic fodder. Measure each index of hemorheology on the 9th day behind the fracture and data was analysised by ANOVA. Results Compared with the normal group, except plasma viscosity and plasma fibrinogen,the other hemorheology index has not risen notably in the fracture group ;The changes of hemorheology caused by the fracture in Salvia Miltiorrhiza group is superior to that in Tetramethylpyrazine group. Conclusions Early hemorheology of rabbit's fracture has not changed greatly; Salvia Miltiorrhiza can prevent deep venous thrombosis that the fracture caused.
