Objective: Through Krebs score diagram, to investigate the correlation between the CTG score and the asphyxia of newborn, and to analyze the changes of the incidence of fetal distress and cesarean section rate with the use of CTG, to direct the clinical use and decrease the incidence of the perinatal mortality and morbidity, improves the quality of perinatal care. Methods: 1491 cases CTG score with singleton pregnancy before parturiency were analyzed, which were collected from the secondary affiliated hospital of xinjiang medical university from January 2002 to December 2006. In the data, 373 cases were divided in NST score team and 1118 cases in CST score team, we analyzed the NST and CST score with the incidence of asphyxia of newborn and relative risk individually. Results: It had statistic significant between NST/CST score and asphyxia of newborn (p<0.01). With the decline of the NST/CST score, especially when NST score≤7 and CST score≤9, the incidence of the asphyxia of newborn and the RR increase obviously. With the use of CTG, the incidence of fetal distress and cesarean section rate increased annually, while the incidence of asphyxia of newborn presented the trend of decline. Conclusion: CTG score can reflect the incidence of asphyxia of newborn, especially when NST score≤7 and CST score≤9, and indicate that the fetal may be distressed potentially in the uterus. With the decline of the NST/CST score, the incidence of asphyxia of newborn and RR will increase. To deal with the CTG score correctly can decrease the incidence of asphyxia of newborn and perinatal mortality.
