The Study On The Expression Of PPAR-γ And PTEN Protein In Gastric Carcinoma And Their Relation

Objective:To investigate the expression and significance of peroxisome proliferators-activated receporsγ(PPAR-γ)and phosphatase and tensin homologue deleted onchromosone 10(PTEN)and their relation in tissues of gastric carcinoma.Methods:Using immunohistochemistry and LEICA Image analysis system,the expressions of PPAR-γand PTEN of 60 cases of gastric carcinoma and 50 cases of chronic surface gastritis tissues were analyzed.Results:Among 60 gastritis carcinoma,48 cases expression PPAR-γ(78.33 %),and the averge gray in the positive was 141.30±7.56.Among 50 chronic surface gastritis tissues,11 cases expression PPAR-γ(22%),and the averge gray in the positive was 149.42±10.55.Thire was a signigicant difference among the groups(P＜0.05).Among 60 gastritis carcinoma,38 cases expression PTEN (63.33%),and the averge gray in the positive was 163.86±11.98.All chronic surface gastritis tissues cases were positive for PTEN(100%),and the averge gray in the positive was154.18±9.43.Thire was a signigicant difference among the groups(P＜0.05).The expression level of PPAR-γand PTEN in samples from cancerous tissues were significantly correlated with TNM stages,reginal invasion,differentiation degree lymphatic and blood stream matastasis in gastric carcinoma P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).In gastric cancer,the expression level of PPAR-γand PTEN,negatively correlated with each other(r=-0.4602,P＜0.05).Conclusions:The expression of PPAR-γin gastric carcinoma was significantly higher than the chronic surface gastritis.The expression PTEN is significantly lower in gastric carcinoma than in the chronic surface gastritis. PPAR-γand PTEN are correlated to invasion and metastasis of gastric carcinoma.In gastric carcinoma,the expression level of PPAR-γand PTEN negatively correlated with each other.The mechanism of both sides inoccurence and development of gastric carcinoma is complicated.There is close relationship between them,and relative independent effect also exists.Both of them could be used as marks to predict metastasis and invasion of gasric carcinoma and the prognosis of these patients as well.
