| The Study of Growing and Development of Mandible and the Teeth Movement in Young Dogs Used Mini-implants As Orthodontic AnchorageObjective: The experiments were carried out to study whether the loaded mini-implants had effects on growing and developing of the length of mandibular and height dento-alveolar about young dogs or not and to discuss the characters of teeth movement and the rate of osseointegration between micro-implant and bone interface. In a word,I assume there would be a thereunder on the choice and applyment of the micro-implant on the adolescent during orthodontic treatment.Materials and Methods For this purpose six pre-molars (lower P1) were extracted from each of the mongrel (6~7m,7~10kg) dogs, After the relative preparation before the experiment, the micro-implants of diameter of 1.3mm draughted mandibular canine to distance, being loaded 300g. The opposite ,which utilized mandible first molar to draught mandibular canine to distance with the same force served as a control group. Three months later,we compared and measured the height of implanted area and length of mandibula on the experimental side with those on the control side.Meanwhile,The mini-implants of diameter of 1.3mm were implanted in the maxillary canine of the buccal and distant sides, which were enforced either 200g or 300g, draughted maxillary canine to distance. Moreover, The micro-implants of diameter of both 1.3mm and 1.6mm were implanted in the maxillary first molar of the buccal and near sides, which were enforced 300g, after three months,we checked the relative displacement, including mini-implants.Different methods were applied to measure the rate of osseointegration,Thus, the data were analysed by Paired-Sample T Test.Result: 1. All of the micro-implant are stable, not a single failed. Nevertheless, some of them have some infection, moreover, around the necks of the mini-implant have soft tissues hyperplasia. 2. Loaded Mini-implants have no differertly significant effect on the mandible dento-alveolar development on young dogs. 3. The relative displacement of micro-implants with different diameter are not the same. The heads of micro-implants with 1.3mm were started slightly. Otherwise,1.6mm are less, however, which have different significance. 4.There is different significance in the relative displacement with the micro-implants of diameter of 1.3mm ,loading different forces after three months. 5. As for peri-implant bone, there was only a slight osseointegration between the bone and the titanium surface, loading different force, however, which have no different significance. Conclusion: 1. Loaded Mini-implants have no effect on the mandible dento-alveolar development on young dogs. 2. The relative displacement of micro-implants with different diameter are not the same. The head of micro-implant with 1.3mm were started slightly. otherwise,1.6mm are less. However, they are both satistied with clinical need. 3. The relative displacement of micro-implants with different forces are not the same, which disclose there will be effect on stability after loading strong force. 4. As for peri-implant bone, there was only a slight osseointegration between the bone and the titanium surface, however, which have no different significance. |
