Objective: (1) Establish three-dimensional finite element model of human femoral using CT data. (2) Study the stress distribution of femoral neck in different postures. (3) Explore the association of tumbling posture and classification of femoral neck fractures. Methods: (1) Using DICOM data from normal human CT, establish three-dimensional finite element model of human femoral by reverse engineering software and finite element analysis software. (2) Analysis the stress distribution and stress change of femoral neck in different postures using femoral finite element model combining finite element analysis software.(3) Combining anatomical structure and finite element analysis software, explore the association of tumbling posture and classification of femoral neck fractures by analyzing clinic data of 116 patients with femoral neck fractures. Results: (1) We established a three-dimensional finite element model of human femoral. This model includes 160961 Gravity units and 3091 nodes, which has a fine Geometrical form and material attribution. (2) We observed the stress change when femur abducted different angle and analyzed the association between stress and angle. (3) Relationship was found between tumbling posture and classification of femoral neck fractures when epidemiology investigation and Statistics of femoral neck fractures were performed. However, finite element analysis cannot guide the classification fractures. Conclusions:(1) It is feasible to establish three-dimensional finite element model of human femoral by reverse engineering software and finite element analysis Using DICOM data from normal human CT. 2) The stress distribution of femoral neck change when femur abducted different angle. This can guide the function exercise after internal fixation of femoral neck fractures. (3) Relationship was found between tumbling posture and classification of femoral neck fractures when epidemiology investigation and Statistics of femoral neck fractures were performed. However, finite element analysis cannot guide the classification fractures.
