| Purpose: Paclitaxel is a new chemotherapeutics curing Gastric Cancer. Clinicalresearches show that it has good curative effect on advancing Gastric Cancer. As a newanticancer drug, Paclitaxel is broadly used in clinical. But because of its toxicities, it islimited to use enough doses and coursesThe reception of Weitiao Sanhao was gained according the theory of "Zhaoshi WeitiaoPingheng". And there had been some animal experiements and clinical trials studying to itseffect. Basing on those studies, we select advancing gastric cancer patients as studyingobject, researching the curative effect features of the reception of Weitiao Sanhao withPaclitaxel curing advancing gastric cancer.Methods: forty-six advancing gastric cancer patients were randomed to two groups,Weitiao Sanhao group and the control group. Every group were given at least two cycles ofchemotherapy: Paclitaxel single, 150～175mg/m~2, iv gtt, every 3 weeks a cycle; orPaclitaxel 135mg/m~2, iv gtt, with Cisplatin 20mg/m~2, iv gtt, dl-5,or CF 100mg/m~2 dl-5,5-Fu 600mg/m~2 civ 44h, every 3 weeks a cycle. In addition, the patients of Weitiao Sanhaogroup were given the reception of Weitiao Sanhao, 150ml po bid. The toxity, adverse effect,symptomatic relief, quality of life, and the immunological function were evaluated andcompared.Results: clinical study showed that the reception of Weitiao Sanhao is moresignificant than the control group in reducing the toxic reaction, including severemyelosuppression and myelosuppression recovering time, hepatic and renal functiondamage, cardiovascular and digestive toxicity, releasing clinical symptoms, improvingquality of life, increasing immune index(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01). But the resent objectivecurative effect is similar to the control group (P＞0.05). Conclusion: the reception of Weitiao Sanhao has better effects on decreasing thetoxicities of Chemotherapy including Paclitaxel, and it can increase the curative effect byimprove quality of life and immunological function. |
