| Objectives:①To compared the difference of anxiety in social intercourse between the SAD or the first degree relatives of the SAD and the normal controls by scoring the factors of Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale (LSAS).②To study the personality characteristics and mental health status between the SAD or the first degree relatives of the SAD and the normal controls by scoring the factors of Eysenck personality Questionnaire (EPQ) and Symptom Check-list 90 (SCL-90).③To explore the correlative between the personality characteristics and social anxiety status of the SAD or the first degree relatives of the SAD.Methods: To investigate 40 patients with SAD, 76 first degree relatives, 37 patients normal controls and 70 relatives normal controls by systematic sampling. According to SCID to screen and DSM-Ⅳ300.23 to diagnose all of them, all the subjects assessed the LSA,EPQ,SCL-90 by self-scoring respectively to explore the prevalence of SAD, social anxiety status, personality characteristics and mental health status, then analyze the correlative between the personality and social anxiety status-of the SAD or the first degree relatives of the SAD.Results:①To assess the various factors of LSAS anxiety scale between the first degree relatives of patients and the normal controls all have difference, and the difference showed significant meaning (P<0.05). The first degree relatives of SAD show higher scores of LSAS than the relative normal controls, it is indicated than the first degree relatives of SAD tend to social anxiety status than the relative normal controls.②The factors of psychoticism, introversion, emotional instability have the statistical significance (P<0.05) between the SAD and non-SAD in EPQ measure, the factors of introversion have the statistical significance (P<0.05) between the first degree relatives of SAD and non-SAD in EPQ measure.③To assess the various factors of SCL-90 all of the study groups. The scores of the SAD and the first degree relative of SAD are higher than the non-SAD and the relative normal controls, except the obsessive compulsive symptom in the first degree relative, the other difference have statistical significance (P<0.05). It is indicated that the mental health status of the SAD and their first degree relatives are worse than the normal controls.④The extraversion characteristic of EPQ and the factor of social intercourse speaking in LSAS are negative relationship in the SAD patients. The extraversion characteristic of EPQ and the emotional instability factors of LSAS are positive relationship in the SAD patients. The extraversion characteristic of EPQ and all the factor and items of LSAS are negative relationship in the first degree relatives of SAD patients. The psychoticism characteristic of EPQ and the three factors (social intercourse, observation by others, eating in public site) and tow items (anxiety, phobia) of LSAS are negative relationship in the first degree relatives of SAD patients. Conclusions:①The first degree relatives of SAD show higher social anxiety status than the relative normal controls.②The personality of the SAD is tend to psychoticism, introversion, emotional instability; and the personality of the first degree relatives of SAD are tend to introversion.③The mental health status of the SAD and their first degree relatives are worse than the normal controls.④The SAD patients are tend to anxious in social intercourse as the introversion and emotional instability characteristics, and the first degree relatives of SAD are tent to anxious and phobia in any social intercourse as the introversion characteristics. |
