The relation of differente adiponectin levels between the elder and the younger onset diabetic patientsPrefacePeople continuously study the cause of type 2diabetes mellitus and recently know afresh that adipose tissue and energy balance play a important role in the cause of type2 diabetes mellitus. Adipose tissue can secrect many kinds of adipokines, these adipokines can induce(?) intervene or participate inflammation. The reason of system insulin resistance and type2 diabetes mellitus is that fatty accumulates in non-fatty tissue. we study new onset type2 diabetic patients between the elder and the younger, as well as discussed the relations between different adiponectin levels and patients of differente onset ages.MethordsThe study selected 120 cases of new onset type2 diabetic patients between the elder and the younger. All patients who were diagnosed as type2 diabetes according to WHO,IDF diagnosis criterion. We selected 120 cases of normal controls, too. All groups were assigned according to age, sex.All patients were not complicated with coronary artery disease, blood hypertension, cerebral infarction and other inflammation disease. The diabetic patiens who were character of FPG>13mmol/l, BMI<20Kg/m~2 and the low curves of insulin release were not concluded.1. All objects were measured heigh, weight, waist circumference.2. All objects accept OGTT and insulin release were taken.3. Plamsa glucose were measured by MODULAR ANALYTICS device. 4. Triglycerides were measured by GPO-PAP; cholesterol were measu-red by CHOD-PAD.5. Insulin were measured by ELISA.6. Adiponectin were taken by ELISA.7. SPSS10.0 was used for statistical analysis, included descriptive, one-way ANONA,partial correlation. The level of significance was set to two-tailed and a value of p<0.05.Results1. Table 1 shows both groups had similar age, the body mass index and waist circumference in diabetic patients groups were significantly higher than the normal control groups (P<0.01), the body mass index and waist circumference of elders were higher than the yongers in normal control groups (P<0.01).2. FPG,FINS,area of glucose curve, area of insulin curve,HOMA-IR in the control groups, the difference was no significant (p>0.05). Triglycerides and cholesterols in normal control groups or in diabetic patients groups were no significant difference, but the difference was significant between normal control groups and diabetic patients groups. The serum adiponectin in diabetic groups were lower than the control groups (P<0.01). The HOMA-IR in diabetic groups were higher than the control groups (P<0.01).3. The serum adiponetin has positive relationship with gender, it of female is higher than male (P<0.01). The serum adiponetin has negative relationship with BMI and WC (P<0.01). The serum adiponetin had no signifinance with FBG,FINS,area of glucose curve, area of insulin curve,triglycerides,cholesterol(p>0.05), when we adjust age,BMI,WC.4. The serum adiponectin of the younger diabetic patients were lower than the elder in the same gender(P<0.01).Conclusions1. The adiponectins in diabetic patients groups were lower than the normal control groups(P<0.01), and BMI, WC, HOMA-IR in diabetic patiens groups were higher than the normal control groups (P<0.01), these showed the adiponectin can be used in diabetic patients.2. The serum adiponectins of the younger diabetic patients were lower than the elder.3. Mass fatty accumulating and adiponectin decreasing were not parelled, the mechanism was not clear.
