Effects Of Chai Shao Cheng Qi Decoction On Apoptosis Of Intestinal Mucosa In Rats With Experimental Early Severe Acute Pancreatitis

Objectives: This research studies the effects of Chinese crude drug of Chai Shao Cheng Qi Decoction on apoptosis of intestinal mucosa with experimental early severe acute pancreatitis(SAP), for the sake of providing rationale to cure SAP with Chinese crude drug and prevent gastrointestinal tract depletion, providing new strategies treating SAP in clinical practices, providing less expensive eutherapeutic treating methods of combining Chinese medicine and Western medicine.Methods:⑴To make SAP model in rats by fractional injection of L-Arginine into the abdominal cavity.⑵To detect the height of fluff of enteric epithelium and the mucosal thickness of intestines by image analyzer and computer aided video system.⑶To contrast by TUNEL the information between cell apoptosis of intestinal mucosa of 66 rats in the normal control group and the experimental SAP group .Results:⑴The model SAP was induced in rats by intraperitoneal injection of L-Arginine twice with 2mg/g dose of L-Arginine and the internal of one hour, so the model SAP was finished successfully.⑵To compare with SAP group's(S group),hemodiastase and pathological change of pancreas and enteric structure have evident mitigation in the group treated by Chinese crude drug(T group)(p<0.01).⑶The fluff's height and the mucosal thickness of T group have evident improve to compare with S group.⑷The cell apoptosis of intestinal mucosa can be found in each group of rats, few in normal control group's(C group) and a remarkably increasing number in S group and less in the group treated by Chinese crude drug T group. The contrast of Apoptotic Index (AI) in each group is: S group vs C group, p <0.01;S group vs T group, p <0.01.Conclusions:⑴Chinese crude drug of Chai Shao Cheng Qi Decoction can cut down diastasic numerus and pathological change of pancreas and enteric structure in S group.⑵The cell apoptosis of intestinal mucosa might significantly affect early dysfunction of intestinal mucosa barrier in rats with SAP. Chinese crude drug of Chai Shao Cheng Qi Decoction can inhibit the cell apoptosis of intestinal mucosa of intestinal mucosa in rats with experimental early severe acute pancreatitis, which might serve as the pretective barrier in intestinal tract if it is used early.
