In this study, tongue manifestations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients in acute and stable phase were observed and compared before and after treatment. Tongue color changes in TCM tongue diagnosis was studied quantitatively. Methods: Based on mathematical morphology, image decomposition and space quantification as well as model tracking methods in image analysis technique were used to divide tongue segmentation, and analyzed colors in annular bodies by using Maxwell triangle.
