Objective:To develope the information system for the general radiotherapy.Methods:The system uses server-client model,and the server is supported by SQL Server 2000 and the client is build with VC++ 6.0.This system transmits data to accelerator by the DICOM RT or RTP_Link.The system includes database and client application.The client application includes patient management model,simulator plan management model,image disposal module, target drawing model,treatment plan design model(include MLC design and block design),data transmittal model(include report print,link to accelerator). The patient basic document management could input patient's some commonly used data,carry on patient's registration,and simultaneously provide the inquiry and the deletion.The picture management may obtain patient's localization picture by the film scanner,also could obtain this information through the DICOM RT which is connected with the simulator,then,it transforms the picture and all related information to data format which radiotherapy software needs.The function of the target area outlines model helps doctor to select the target area by the computer and save it into the database.Doctor can conveniently carry on the general radiotherapy plan design,the dose calculation, and irregular field design by the computer.The treatment parameter export model can print treat-reports for technician to check the dates in the first treat time,simultaneously print the treatment register -report for technician registers. This system can connect each kind of accelerator and cutter.Results:The successes research and development of the general radiotherapy information management system,has enormously facilitated the administrative offices to guarantee the general radiotherapy quality,also has facilitated the work of doctor and physics',and simultaneously enhanced the dosage computation accuracy.This system directly connects with accelerator, and transmit treatment parameter,in which could avoid the error caused by the manual input.Entire digitized image has facilitated doctor's inquire about, simultaneously reduced the management cost of offices.1 Clinical practice of general radiotherapy information management system enables the majority of work complete by the computer,facilitates doctor to operate,and simultaneously saves the management cost.2 Enhanced the accuracy dose calculation.Because this system could obtain the corresponding parameter of MLC and irregular field,therefore the calculation results are more precise.3 General radiotherapy information management system could directly connect with the accelerator,then directly transmit treatment parameter,thus avoid the errors which bringed by the manual input,could effectively guarantees general radiotherapy QA,QC of the offices.4 The block design files are directly transmits to cutter,which has avoided the possible errors caused by image digitization input,simultaneously enhanced the working efficiency.5 Entire digitization Localizations images has facilitated doctor's inquire about,simultaneously also reduced the administrative offices management cost.6 Its need the password and the corresponding jurisdiction to loading the system,which guaranteed the system security.Conclusion:This system was operated conveniently.It very fit for the new type accelerator's MLC dose calculation and the general radiotherapy information manages.Perfectly data management and image disposal exactly dose calculation,directly transmit treatment parameter,all those are effective tools of AC and QA for general radiotherapy.
