PartⅠThe prevalence study of cervicalspondylosis in financial practitioners inLujiazui economical areaOBJECTIVE: To assess the prevalence of cervical spondylosis in financialpractitioners in Lujiazui area.METHODS: A questionnaire survey for epidemiological information of cervicalspondylosis was carried out from January to December 2005. 1180 persons workingin Lujiazui of 15 corporations were drawn out from almost 200 corporations byrandom and cluster sampling. Male 502, female 572, age between 22 and 52 years,mean age 32.24±4.36 years. The diagnostic criteria for cervical spondylosis in thisstudy referred to the second national cervical spondylosis conversation project in1992. The software SPSS 10.0 statistically analysed the data.RESULTS: The prevalence of cervical spondylosis was 17.35%, cervicalspondylosis was diagnosed in 189 cases. There were 99 male and 90 female in thesufferers, the prevalence was 17.31%and 17.79%.CONCLUSIONS: This study showed a higher prevalence of cervicalspondylosis in financial practitioners in Lujiazui economical area than generalpopulation. Part two The study of risk factor and preventivemeasures on cervical spondylosis inpractitioners in Lujiazui economicalareaOBJECTIVE: To analyse the distribution and risk factors; discuss the preventivemeasures of this disease.METHODS: A structured questionnaire was used and physical examination wascarried out. Risk factors related to cervical spondylosis were analysed by logisticregression, x~2 test and t test. Risk factors measured included gender, age, workingtime, psychological pressure, working posture and ventilation condition of the office.The software SPSS 10.0statistically analyzed the data.RESULTS: Logistic regression showed risk factors related to cervicalspondylosis were age, long working time, psychological pressure, incorrect workingposture and bad ventilation condition of the office. T test showed differences in age,long working time, psychological pressure, incorrect working posture and badventilation condition of the office were significant. X~2 test showed the prevalencehigher with the age older.CONCLUSIONS: In this study, risk factors related to cervical spondylosis wereage, long working time, psychological pressure, incorrect working posture and badventilation condition of the office. According to the actual condition of working unit,we were to table a proposal: arrange working time, adjust working posture, relievepsychological pressure, improve ventilation condition etc.
