Objective: To improve diagnosis level of primary carcinoma of the liver andresearching the effective image examination method on diagnosing primarycarcinoma of the liver in clinical practice, the spiral computed tomography (CT)appearances of different patterns of primary carcinoma of the liver were analyzed, andthe diagnosis value and guiding value of spiral CT on surgical operation werediscussed aim at primary carcinoma of the liver. Material and Method: The 25 case(male 17cases, female 8 cases) of CT materials of primary carcinoma of the liver, those were confirmed by pathological diagnosis after operation and followingobservation(lesquamated cell in ascites and pathology examination by puncturing),were analyzed. Most of the cases were 50-70 years old. All of the cases were scannedboth in regular and in intensive with Toshiba Asteion four array CT machine made inJapan. Results: The CT appearance of carcinoma of the liver were divided as a hugemass pattern (8 case, 32ï¼…), a nodular pattern (10 cases, 40ï¼…),a diffuse pattern (4case,16ï¼…) and a small carcinoma pattern (3 cases, 12ï¼…). The huge mass patternappeared as a big low density tumor mass in the liver, diameter of the tomor was lagerthan 10 cm with a clear boundary. The nodular pattern small carcinoma pattern somelobular low density tumor mass in the liver and the diameter of the tomer was about5.0 cm,with a clear boundary. The diffuse pattern appeared as irregular low dendity inthe liver with a no clear boundary. The small carcinoma pattern appeared as a lonelynodular low density,, diameter of the tomor was smaller than 3cm with a clearboundary. The strength characteristic spiral CT of each pattern primary carcinoma ofthe liver can differ liver hemangioma, hyperplasia(FNH),liver adenomaliver, livercirrhosis nodular et al by intensive scan. Conclusion: 1. 21cases of the primarycarcinoma of the liver were diagnosed correctly in 25cases by the spiral CT and therate of correct diagnosis was 84ï¼…. 2. The direct signs of the spiral CT examination ofthe primary carcinoma of the liver were divided as the massive pattern, the nodularpattern, the diffuse pattern and a small carcinoma pattern. 3.The spiral CT was asimple secure and accurate way of examination to the diagnosis of primary carcinomaof the liver in medical imaging. 4.The strength characteristic spiral CT was "inquickly and out quickly"and knowing characteristic signs of it might be useful for improving the accuracy of the diagnosis and the distinguishing diagnosis.
