Objective:To investigate metabolism and role of prostacyclin (PGI2) and thromboxan (TXA2)on renal colic for ureteral calculi, detect them by radio immunity in blood andurine. One group was samples being renal colic, one group was having been renalcolic, the other was common. Seek the theory of relieving renal colic from ureteralcalculus. Using Doppler to determine resistant index of section renal artery to definitethe role on obstructed disease of renal.Method:46 samples of renal colic, 43 samples of having had renal colic on account ofureteral calculus and 38 samples for conference. Age of them were from 25 to 58.Male female ratio was approximately 2:1. Diameter of calculus was from 0.7 cm to1.2 cm. Detect PGI2 and TXA2 of blood and urine by radio immunity. According tothe extent of pain by VAS, all of renal colic was classed into light, midrange andculmination. Measure both resistant index (RI) of section renal artery and calculatethe equation by ultrasonic Doppler.Result:Comparison of PGI2 and TXA2 in urine and blood, renal colic'group was highest, and control group was the lowest(P<0.05).The difference of these groups'RI was thesame as PCI2 and TXA2. Comparison of PGI2 and TXA2 in blood and urine werenon-statistical (P>0.05) in different pain, and RI was non-statistical, while△RI wasstatistical (P<0.05).Conclusion:pressure in pelvis and ureter was heightened due to ureteral calculus, RI of renalartery was advanced too. Renal generate and deliver a large of PGI2 and TXA2 Bothprompted breaking out of renal colic by alter renal homodynamic and peristalsis. The extent of pain was not direct ratio to PGI2 and TXA2, butcorrelation to△RI. These hinted that pain and pressure in pelvis and urethra werecorrelation. So we can use suppression of prostaglandin to preclude and control therenal colic.
