Objective: To Research the correlation between the expression of VEGF , MMP9 and the invasion cells in Clear-cell renal cell carcinoma, and evaluate its relationship between progress with cancer and the prognosis and recurrence of patients with cancer.Methods: The cancer tissues resected surgically from 14 cases of Clear-cell renal cell carcinoma (CC-RCC) were embedded with paraffin and prepared into sections routinely. The sections were divided into A. B and C group. Group A carries through immunity histochemistry coloration of VEGF;Group B carries through immunity histochemistry coloration of MMP-9;Group C is for cytochemistry staining with acidic esterase (ANAE) after refixed with 15% formalin-calcium. Based on the percentage of cells staining positive and degree of pathological malignant cancer, make statistically correlation analysis.Results:1.The immunoreactivity (IR) of VEGF and MMP-9 appeared as brownish-yellow colored granules localized at the cvtomembrane and cytoplasm of cancer and macropgages.VEGF-IR was also located in the endothelium of blood vessels.. The expression of VEGF and MMP-9 is higher in cancer cell,and its expression had a closed correlation with cancer development in pathology: VEGF-IR(cell%)/MMP-9-IR(cell%), r=0. 869, p<0. 01; VEGF-IR(cell%)/Patho-grades, r=0. 895, p<0. 01; MMP-9-IR(cell%)/Patho-grades, r=0. 914, p<0. 01.2. The ANAE coloration of invasive cells (macrophages and T lymphocytes as predominance.) appeared as dark-reddish color. Macrophages occupy half the invasive cells above, to show heterology obviously and more huge cancer cell, malignancy degree is higher and the invasive cells population is more. Invasion cells had a closed correlation with cancer development in pathology:Invasion cells%/ Patho-grades, r=0.887, p<0. 01.3. The expression VEGFand MMP-9 had a closed correlation with invasion cells%: VEGF-IR(cell%)/ Invasion cells%, r=0. 881, p<0.01; MMP-9-IR(cell%)/ Invasion cells%, r=0. 921, p<0. 01.Conclusions: There was a positive correlation between the expression of VEGF and MMP-9 and the degree of invasive cells and cancer development in pathology, which suggests VEGF, MMP9 and the invasive cells may be assessed as biomarkersfor prognosis and recurrence of CC-RCC...
