In Southwest of China, as perennial sarcocarp herbaceous, Lagotis humilis Tsoong et H. P. Yang is a kind of precious vegaetation resources. In order to develop such natural medicine, we have made original extract from Lagotis humilis Tsoong et H. P. Yang and studied the liver injury repairing effects, the anti-bacterial and anti-tumor activities of the extract to provide further researching proves.The extract was made by the organic solvent method. The anti-bacterial activities were investigated Haloes methods. Tumor cell line MGC-803 was used and evaluated by M.T.T. method. Morphology of the cell was observed by inversion phase contrast microscope. DNA ladder of apoptosis cells were checked by agarose electrophoresis. The apoptosis rate was made by F.C.M. Each group was supplied with extraction of belly injection for half death rates of 7 days. The liver injury repairing mode of CCl4 was evaluated by oral additional extract.Staphylococcus aureus(ATCC25923) was restrained significantly by the extraction, so did the Escherichia coli(ATCC25922), Bacillus subtilis, Enterococccus faecalis, Candida albicans, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidi. Haloes rely on the extract's concentration. No distinct inhibition was found with Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC27853) and Bacillus cereus.Within the range of concentration from 4.0 to 12.0 mg·ml-1, MGC-803 cell was inhibited by the extract significantly, which rely on dose and time effects.Cell culture of MGC-803 was checked apoptosis by additional extract within the concentration from 4.0 to 12.0 mg·ml-1. Sub G1 was observed by F.C.M to indicate early apoptosis. After 48h of incubation, DNA ladder was observed by agarose electrophoresis.LD50(916.22mg·kg-1)of the extract was calculated with SPSS by 7 days of mice oral gavage.The injury of CCl4 on mice liver can be allevaited by the extract. The aminptransierase content of experimental group was less than CCl4 model group.
