Objective: To research the relationship between the surface area of auricle with age and gender by means of surface area measurement of auricle and search the effect of surface area to auricle orthopedics and auricle reformation.Method: The surface areas of 148 volunteers (39 male and 35 female) were measured by PACS VIEW CT digital photography and MEVISYS LUSION software (Version 6.5) and data were analyzed by the sex related and the age related statistics.Results: The right auricle surface area in male was broader than the right auricle surface area in male (p<0.01); and the auricle surface area in male was broader than in female (p<0.01). The auricle surface area was not related with age by correlation analysis.Conclusion: The research results could contribute the skin area selection to the auricle orthopedics and the auricle reformation in the clinical practice.
