Objective:To explore the application of three-dimensional(3D)printing technology in auricle reconstruction with Nagata technique.Operative effect, patient satisfaction and reconstructive auricle shape between 3D model group and standard ear mold group were compared.Patients and methods:Object:From May 2015 to September 2016,26 cases of auricle reconstruction selected from the Department of Plastic Surgery of General Hospital of Shenyang Military were involved in the study. In the 3D model group, there were 13 patients underwent auricle reconstruction with 3D ear mold and costal cartilage mold, including 7 males and 6 females, aged from 8 years old to 22 years old with an average age of(10.8±6.7).In the standard ear mold group, there were 13 patients underwent auricle reconstruction with standard ear mold, including 8 males and 5 females, aged from 8 years old to 15 years old with an average age of(10.1 ±2.1).Inclusion criteria:? unilateral congenital microtia;? contralateral normal auricle;? more than 8 years old or the chest circumference greater than 60cm;?patients and their families support 3D model(3D printing group);? all auricle reconstruction with Nagata technique;? able to complete follow-up more than half a year;?all operations were performed by the same surgeon team.Exclusion criteria:? bilateral microtia;? patients with mental disorder or cognitive impairment;? poor compliance, inability to cooperate. Methods:The questionnaire survey was adopted,3 auricle reconstruction surgeons filled in questionnaire of operative effect with 3D model and questionnaire of operative efect with stanard ear mold. After half a year follow-up postoperative,26 cases of auricle reconstruction patients or their families filled in questionnaire of patients satisfaction of auricle reconstruction After half a year,3 plastic surgeons who aren't in auricular reconstruction team filled in questionnaire of reconstructive auricle shape according to the patient's auricle condition. The data was analyzed by SPSS 22,independent-samples t-test was adopted and P<0.05 was considered as statistical significance.Results:1.In the aspect of preoperative communication, operation design, costal cartilage resection, cartilage scaffold and cartilage pile made, the auricle reconstruction surgeons scores of 3D model group was higher than the standard ear mold group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.After half a year follow-up postoperative, the satisfaction of 3D contour, cranioauricular angle, symmetry and function of reconstructive auricle in 3D model group was higher than the standard ear mold group(P<0.05).There is no significant difference in the location, volume and stability of reconstructive auricle between two groups(P>0.05).3.After half a year follow-up postoperative,in the aspect of 3D contour, cranioauricular angle, symmetry and 14 sub anatomical structure appearance, the reconstructive auricle appearance in 3D model group was better than the standard ear mold group(P<0.05).There is no significant difference in the location and volume of reconstructive auricle between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The 3D model is more helpful in the aspect of preoperative communication, operation design, costal cartilage resection, cartilage scaffold and cartilage pile made, engraving practice compared to ear mold for the auricle reconstruction with Nagata technique.2.The 3D model is helpful to improve the therapeutic effect of microtia, which is shown in the 3D contour, cranioauricular angle, symmetry and f14 sub anatomical structure appearance.3.The 3D model has no obvious effect on the location, size and stability of auricle reconstruction...
