The technology of medical analysis and inspection takes an important role in medical investigation, so studied and founded the sensitive and quick analysis method is important for the new drugs exploitation, pharmacological studying and the clinic application. Electrochemical analysis has the advantage of quickness, convenience and sensitivity. And there is most important on direct potential metric technique that is excellent Ion-selective electrode. Ion-selective electrode has become a very important technique for pharmaceutical analysis because of its high speed and small sample volume requirements.Tramadol hydrochloride (TMD) belongs to the activator of opiate receptor. Recently, there were a number of clinical researches that show TMD can markedly ease pain. Moreover, TMD did not inhibit breath or been addicted. So TMD was widely used to treat acute and chronic pain as its low side effect. So the more and more analytical methods reported for TMD on blood drug level and content of various kinds of dosage form including non-aqueous titration, high performance liquid chromatogram (HPLC), UV spectrophotometry (UV), visible spectrophotometry and so on. Ion-selective electrode has become a very important technique for pharmaceutical analysis because of its high speed and small sample volume requirements. This thesis explored producing a new ion-selective electrode and established a new electrochemical analysis method for determining the content of TMD.Today, TMD ion-selective electrodes have been reported. So we principally attempted to produce PVC carbon stick-coated membrane electrode and PVC-membrane electrode of TMD by some kinds of precipitant. Then, we study on the effects of useful life, response time, and linear range for selecting electrode. Experiment showed that PVC carbon stick-coated membrane electrode by Hg2I2 and PVC-membrane electrode by I2 could be successfully applied to determination of TMD in the some kinds of pharmaceutical preparations. And the method has the advantage of quickness, convenience, endurance and sensitivity. So the method could be applied usually in pharmaceutical analysis and it was probably that these kinds of electrode could be produced electrochemical detector in HPLC and capillary electrophoresis (CE).
