Erigeron acer L. is a biennial of Compositae. According to Collection of Changbai Mountain Plant Amedica, its root, stem and leaves contain tannin, leaves and flowers contains aetherolea; its flowers and inflorescence can cure pyrexia, its seed can cure Bloody diarrhea, its apozem can cure gastritis, enterorrhea, erythra, scabies, etc. At present, the reports of research to Erigeron acer are very few, merely on the chemical composition. Systematic analysed the chemical composition of Erigeron acer, I have got 6 compounds from the dry entire plants by using silica gel column chromatography, preparative silica gel thin-layer chromatography and macroporous resin column chromatography. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis including FT ICR-MS,1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT, HMQC, HMBC, 1H-1H COSY. Three of the compounds were identified as caffeic acid (I), 4'-hydroxy baicalein-7-O-β-D-glucuronide (II) and quercetin (III), which were isolated from this plant for the first time. Parts of proton and carbon assignments of 4'-hydroxy baicalein-7-O-β-D-glucuronide were achieved anew. Structures of compounds IV-VI are being analyzing, undetermined.
