Ancistrocladus tectorius which exists on Hainan island in China exclusively is a typical plant distributing in tropical area. The EtOH extract of this plant showed cytotoxic activity in vitro.In this thesis, eighteen constituents were isolated by column chromatographic methods using silica gel, aluminium oxide and Sephadex LH-20, etc. Structures of fourteen compounds were elucidated on the basis of chemical evidence and spectral analysis. Fourteen compounds were identified as ancistrobertsonine B (1), ancistrotectorine (2), ancistrocladine (3), (1S,3S)-5-(4,5-dimethoxy-2-methyl--naphthalen-l-yl)-6,8-dimethoxy-1,3-dimethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline (4), (1S,3R)-5-(4,5-dimethoxy-2-methylnaphthalen-l-yl)-6,8-dimethoxy-1,3-dimethyl--1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline (5), ancistrocline (6), ancistrocladinine (7), hamatinine (8), 3,3'-di-O-methylellagic acid (9), (2R,3S)-catechin (10), quercetin (11), (2R,3R)-taxifolin (12),β-sitosterol (13), daucosterol (14). Among them, compounds 9, 10,12,13 and 14 were isolated from this genus for the first time and compounds 1, 4, 5, 7 and 8 were isolated from this plant for the first time.On the basis of references, rules of spectrum analysis on naphthylisoquinoline alkaloid were summarized.
