BackgroundThe breast cancer is seriously a kind of malignant tumor which threatens a large number of women's life health. The breast cancer is not so popular in our country, but in recent years, it has an obvious trend of ascension, and the frequency of suffering from it has ranks the first two in female malignant tumor, and it has become a serious disease which threatens female's health and life. Till now, human beings haven't made great progress in occurrence mechanism of breast cancer, with the development of tumor foundation, clinical theories and the relevant technique research, the research of breast cancer on clinical diagnosis and treatment has made substantial progress, and the result of prevention still depends on the time of disease, namely earlier period cancer scarcely has long distance transfer, the curative effect is usually good for most patient.ObjectiveIn order to improve the diagnostic rate and to supply the suitable therapy , this article analyzed the clinical characteristic and diagnostic methods of early stage breast cancer.MethodsA total of 78 early stage breast cancer patients data were surveyed retrospectively. Of the 78 patients, 47(60.3%) appeared to be thickening locally on mammary glands, another 29(37.2%) can be felt nodules when palpation. And 2(2.5%) patients have no any symptoms. They were performed ultrasound, mammography, needle aspiration before operation; 23cases of total mastectomy 47 cases of modified radical mastectomy, 8 cases of Halsted radical mastectomy. 78 cases of adjunctive chemotherapy. 49 cases of endocrine therpy.Results1. The diagnostic rate of early stage breast cancer by ultrasound united mammography or needle aspiration is 91.02%, 92.30% respectively., which is significant difference with ultrasound or mammography.2. There is not significant difference in the expression of ER, PR, HER-2 in the different pathological types.3. The 5-year survival rate were 91.3%,93.6% and 87.5%, respectively in groups total mastectomy,modified radical mastectomy and radical mastectomy. The rate of local recurrence was 26.1% in group total mastectomy and 17.0% in group modified radical mastectomy and 12.5% in group radical mastectomy.4. There was no significant differences existed in three groups(P>0.05).ConclusionsSymptoms increasing of mammary glands hyperplasia or developing local thickening of mammary glands in high risk aged women always suggest the possibility of early stage breast cancer. In order to raise the diagnostic rate of early stage breast cancer, it is necessary to perform needle aspiration or to dectect by ultrasound and mammography. The effective therapy can improve the quality of life of patients.
