The Effect Of Fraction Of Nuxvomica Powder On The Local Content Of BMP And The Content Of Fraction Bone Expression

Objective: To investigate effect of fraction of nuxvomica powder on the local content of BMP and the content of fraction bone expression in the process of fraction union, and to explore the mechanism of nuxvomica powder in enhancing fracture healing.Methods: 45 New Zealand rabbits were divided into normal and model groups randomly, model group included the drug administration group and the blank control, 5 in the normal group,20 in the drug administration and the blank control model group . 40 New Zealand rabbits of the drug administration and the control group were selected to make radial fractures bilaterally with 10mm defect. The rabbits of drug administration model group were fed orally with nuxvomica powder (26.27mg/kg) and 20ml normal saline in the morning and evening, (fed three days stop one day According to 1990 "Pharmacopoeia").The rabbits of blank control model group fed 20ml normal saline in the morning and evening. When it was post of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 weeks, both groups were respectively made general histological examination, X-ray test, compare the content of fraction bone. The paraffin sections of them were stained with immuno-histochemical technique to manifest BMP for quantitative image analysis and take the group B and C as the contrast groups to compare and analyze the function of them in enhancing fracture healingResults: X-ray results showed the drug administration and the blank control model group was not obvious difference after 1 week. The drug administration group X-ray results showed the content of fraction bone was significantly higher than the blank control group after 2 weeks. In the each time, the results of histological examination indicated the local speed of cell multiplication in the drug administration group was significantly quicker than the blank control group. In the each time, the results of compare the content of fraction bone showed the content of fraction bone of drug administration group was significantly higher than the blank control group after 2 weeks(P<0.05).The image analysis result of immuno-histological BMP showed BMP content in the drug administration group was significantly higher than that of the blank control. The peak value of BMP in the drug administration group was appeared at the second week , and that in the blank control at the third week.Conclusions: In the safe and effective scope, nuxvomica powder can promote the proliferation of fracture repairing cells in callus, increase the activity of osteoblast, accelerate the accumulation of fraction bone, induce the BMP synthesis, accelerate the fraction union of rabbit and elevate the quality of fraction.
