【Objective】To investigate the efficacy, safety and treatment costs of mizoribine (MZR,bredinin) in cadaveric renal transplantation.【Methods】We retrospectively analysed the treatment of patients after primary renal transplantation from January of 2004 to September of 2006 ,and taking MZR or MMF in this paper. The experimental group is MZR group(32 cases), the control group is MMF group(59 cases). The two groups combined FK506 and Pred. The morbidity of acute rejection(AR), the incidence of Marrow suppressive, the incidence of gastrointestinal reactions and treatment costs in the patients of the two groups 6 months after transplantation were observed.【Results】:1. The comparison of efficacy between MZR and MMF Within 6 months after operation, there was no significant difference between MZR and MMF on reducing of acute rejection(P>0.05). 2. The comparison of safety between MZR and MMF(1).The incidence of marrow suppressive in MZR group was significantly lower than in MMF group(P <0.05).(2).The incidence of gastrointestinal reactions in MZR group was significantly lower than in MMF group(P <0.05).3. The comparison of treatment cost between MZR and MMFThe cost of initial doseage and maintenance doseage in MZR are all lower than that one in MMF. With prolongation of time in cadaveric renal transplantation, the advantage of lower in price using MZR is more obvious.【Conclusions】1.There was no significant difference between MZR and MMF on reducing of acute rejection.2. Compared with MMF, MZR could significantly decrease the incidence of Marrow suppressive.3.Compared with MMF, MZR could significantly decrease the incidence of gastrointestinal reactions.4. Compared with MMF, MZR could alleviate the economic burden of patients. 5. MZR is effective and safe for renal transplantation, less toxicity and side effects. MZR is valuable to spread application.
