Objective1. To master the situation that the migrant workers know how much about the AIDS and it danger.2. To explore the feasibility of company-education for migrant workers, in order to provide a reliable data to study the AIDS prevention policy for these people.3. To study the reasons why venereal diseases and AIDS occur during the migrant workers at construction site.MethodsAccording to the subject, spot investigation by questionnaire is adopted. Each city is sampled four construction site, one acting as an original swatch, the other three as the intervention group. The chosen four construction sites are geographically away from one another, in case of the intervention methodology being mixed. And the workers of the same job get similar salary. Furthermore, a group of local people nearby the construction site is chosen as the comparison.1. Area and Object: The urban area of Jinan City is chosen as the experiment area. Target group is the common workers and the head or manager of the construction site. Anonymous questionnaires combined with voluntary talks are carried on to investigate. 2. Experiment methodology:2.1 Investigation methodology: Transect study: spot investigation is adopted to carry on KABP to the former four groups and the local people. Collect the data about the basic knowledge of AIDS, their attitude and the dangerous behaviors, needs etc. on AIDS of the former four groups and part of the local people. Assistant materials: the living conditions, earnings, and medical conditions of the construction workers.2.2 Intervention methodology: random sample three groups from the four groups to carry on different modes of intervention. In order to compare effects of different healthy education modes and the feasibility of company education, the experiment does not throw other factors except social context. After the investigation, using different intervention modes to intervene the three experimental groups (Group A carried on general intervening experiment by professionals; Group B carried on company education; Group C carried on general intervening experiment by professionals plus company education). And carry on the KABP questionnaire investigation again after one month and three months respectively.2.3 Value index of the intervention effectKnowledge master rate (%) = right answers / ( the number of asked questions of each person * the number of investigated people) ~* 100%Results1. Investigation result:1.1 The general AIDS knowledge master rate of the construction people is 61.3%.Among the five kinds of questions: infection ways, non-infection ways, prevention ways, non-prevention ways and basic knowledge, questions about infection ways and prevention ways are answered pretty well. However, the other three kinds of questions are of low answering rate.1.2 The construction people are general not clear about the present situation of AIDS in our country. For example, about 41.3% of them consider the situation is not bad or having no idea of it, and 58.5% think that AIDS is far away from our daily life.1.3 The construction people seldom use condoms.1.4 On venereal disease history and seeing doctors, 12% of the investigated people confess they have such disease last year, and their medical treatment is very nonstandard.2. Effect evaluation on intervention2.1 The professionals intervention group intervened Group A twice, and the result is that 21 questions are of low understanding level, with statistic meaning ( p<0.01). Between the first time and second time intervention, the knowledge master rate of the 21 questions is different, too, with statistic meaning (p<0.05). Different intervention modes and different intervention frequency could improve the knowledge master rate effectively ( p<0.01). Between the first time and second time invention, comparing five "yes or no" questions' answers, great difference exists on the question that if we should continue the work on HIV/AIDS, with statistic meaning.2.2 The first time Company education group ( Group B) intervention result compared with the non-intervention group, the knowledge master rate of 21 questions are of great different, with statistic meaning ( p<0.05 ). The second time result is also with statistic meaning ( p<0.01 ). The comparison between the first time and second time intervention is with statistic meaning ( p<0.01 ) as well. But neither of them could exert influence to behaviors. Company education group's intervention result compared with non-intervention group, there are two questions' attitudes change sharply among five "yes or no" questions, with statistic meaning ( p<0.01 ). Between the first time and second time intervention, by comparing the five "yes or no" questions' answers, the differences are obvious on that if you think AIDS is far away from us and how should you deal with your AIDS sufferer relatives. The result is with statistic meaning (p<0.01). 2.3 The first time the general intervention group ( Group C) intervention result compared with the non-intervention group, the knowledge master rate of 21 questions is different , with statistic meaning ( p<0.05). The second time result is also with statistic meaning ( p<0.01 ). The comparison between the first time and second time intervention is with statistic meaning ( p<0.01 ) as well. The first time general intervention group intervention result compared with non-intervention group, there are two questions' attitudes change sharply among five "yes or no" questions, with statistic meaning ( p<0.01 ). General intervention group's intervention result compared with non-intervention group, there are two questions' attitudes change sharply among five "yes or no" questions, with statistic meaning (p<0.01 ). Between the first time and second time intervention, by comparing the five "yes or no" questions' answers, the differences are obvious on that if you think we should continue our work on HIV/AIDS and your attitude towards HIV/AIDS. The result is with statistic meaning (p<0.01).3. Comparison of the three intervention modesThe three intervention modes exert great influence on improving knowledge master rate and attitude change. After the first time intervention, the knowledge master rate, comparing with the original group, improved by 10.2%, 11.3%, 19.8% ( p<0.05). After the second time intervention, the knowledge master rate, comparing with the original group, improved by17.5%, 25.7%, 29.6% (p<0.01). The intervention results of each group has improved obviously after the second intervention (p<0.01), and the comparison of the first intervention result and the second intervention result is remarkable (p<0.05). But the difference between the three groups is without statistic meaning (p> 0.05). Three intervention mode bring difference of four questions, three questions and four questions among five attitude questions, after the second intervention. But the difference between the three is still without statistic meaning (p> 0.05). Conclusion:The three interventions mentioned above obviously have let more people know more about AIDS. And people have changed their attitude towards AIDS infected people and those AIDS sufferers. Although we have made our progress, the dangerous behaviors infected AIDS is still to be ameliorated. After the first intervention, the percentage of the AIDS knowledge of the three groups has been improved by 10.2%, 11.3%, 19.8%. The result is obviously improve compared with the original group (p<0.05). After the second intervention, the three groups have improved 17.5%, 25.7%, 29.6% respectively. And it is much better than the original group (p<0.01) .The improvement is obvious by comparing the second intervention and the first one (p<0.05) . It is proved that the following methods take good effect on construction works: spot cinema playing, leaflets, pamphlet sending, slide showing and consulting. We also find that people would like to share their knowledge on AIDS to educate their companies since they get the professional training. Both professionals and education accompanies are taking the responsibilities of publicizing the knowledge on AIDS. They play important role in preventing and controlling AIDS and boosting healthy life style.
