It's widely recognized that the seed of Luffa Cylindrica.and Seman Platycladi. have many and important officinal ingredients and values.Nowadays,the researchers pay many attentions to the isolation and purification of ribosome-inactivation proteins from the seed of Luffa Cylindrica.and fatty acids from Seman Platycladi..In order to make more extensive use of these herbs,we studied on the fatty acids from the seeds of Luffa Cylindrica and its physical — chemical properties , trace elements and polysaccharide from Seman Platycladi.The main results are as follows:1. Analysis the Physical—chemical Properties and Fatty Acid Composition of Luffa Cylindrica. Seed oilThe physical-chemical properties and fatty acids of Luffa cylindrical seed oil were investigated .Luffa cylindrical seed oil was extracted with petroleum ether,and the extractive was saponified and esterified.The chemical components of fatty acid were separated and identified by GC-MS/D. Four fatty acids were separated and identified.The main components of the fatty acid in seeds of Luffa cylindrical oil were Linolic acid(75.75%),Palmitic acid(12.31%),Octadecoic acid(9.85%).The relative contents of unsaturated fatty acids were 75.75%.It was valuable in nutrition.2. Determination of inorganic elements from Seman Platycladi.by ICP-AES with Microwave Digestion.Microwave technology is a new method to digest sample. It has much more adventages than the conventional sample digestion method. The Seman Platycladi. were digested by microwave. The 20 kinds of elements in Seman Platycladi. and aqu-eousextract were determinated by axially viewed inductive coupled plasma-atomic e-mission spectrometry. Nine trace elements were determiated .Satisfactory results were obtained in analysis of the samples.3. Study on physical and chemical properities of Seman Platycladi.and its extraction.Conditions of the extraction and physical-chemical properities were studied using water extraction and alcohol deposit to extrat the Seman Platycladi.polysaccharide.The effects of four factors such as the temperature of extraction,the proportion of wat- er volume,the time of extration,the number of extrations were investigested.With the Orthogonal design of L9(33).The optimum technological conditions of extration of polysaccharide from Seman Platycladi. were obtained as follows:adding 20 times water as Seman Platycladi.in 100℃ for 2 hours by 2 times extrations.The results showed that there were a little proteins in polysaccharide.4. Determination, Purification and Seperation of water-soluble polysaccharide of Seman Platycladi.The powder of Seman Platycladi were extrated by petroleum ether and 95% alcohol in order to remove oils and glucoside,then extracted with boiling water,getting rid of protein with Sevag's method,precipitating with alcohol,then further purificated by chromatography on DEAE-cellulose with eluent of water and NaCI solution,dialying, Concentration and precipitating,finally were obtained three factions.The content of polysaccharide were measured by the method of phenol-vitril. Satisfactory results were obtained by this method.5. Study on the effect of glycolipide metabolism and nephropathic complication of Seman Platycladi. polysaccharide on diabetic rats.Alloxan(200mg/Kg) was injected into the body of mice to induce diabetic model. The experiment mice were devided into medicical group dosed with Seman Platycladi. polysaccharide 50mg/Kg/day and 25mg/Kg/day,control group dosed with xiao ke wan 50mg/Kg/day,normal group and normal group dosed with Seman Platycladi. polysac--charide 50mg/Kg/day .The results showed that Seman Platycladi. polysaccharide was able to reduce blood glucose, TC, TG level of diabetic rats.On the other hand,it was found that Seman Platycladi. polysaccharide had no prominent influence on the Glu, TC, TG level of normal mice.The study indicates that Seman Platycladi.polysacchar--ide has significant effect of hypoglycemic action on diabetic mellitus and is worthy to be utilized to develop medicines for diabetic mellitus.
