Objective: Psoriasis is a very common chronic dermatosis, which is hard to deal with and easy to relapse, influence the health of the patients. The narrowband wave ultraviolet (NBUVB) with its exact curative effect, reliable safe, sparing treatment time entered the dermatology realm gradually. It is widely applied in European American countries. However, owe to the time and shortage of the treatment to the East, it is necessary to find out the ways to reduce the NBUVB treatment and improve to the treatment. At present, the domestic reports on NBUVB and other treatments are easily found, but few studies on the influence of NBUVB treatment. This study will probe the elements on NBUVB treatment in order to fit it and shorten the ray time according to the factor of sex, age, disease duration, hyperli -pemia, psychological elements,smoking and drinking, infection.Methods: Three hundred and thirty eight with vulgaris psoriasis are participated in this study. The materials are gathered in terms of sex, age, hyperlipemia, the life periods of smoking and drinking. All the patients were treated with whole body NBUVB radiation once in every two days. The NBUVB initial dose according to documents and the average minimal erythea dose (MED) which was privates surveyed, child for 0.3J/cm J/cm~2, adult as 0.4J/cm~2, increased the 0.1 J/cm~2 each time, to take place the erythe -matous response then no longer increase dose. After treatment, we used the score of PASI to evaluate the curative effect. We analyze difference of experimental results with SPSS 11.5 software.Result(1) among the three hundred and thirty eight cases, the fully recoveredor the nearly fully recovered occupy the forty five cases, one hundred and thirty nine people get the obvious effect and forty nine are found to be apparently improved, only five are not found to have effect.(2) there is no evident difference between the fully recovered or nearly fully recovered and the people who have no phenomenon of improvement and effect in terms of sex, age, the average age of flaring up of disease.(3) the effects of hyperlipemia, on NBUVB treatments are quite evident while the effects of the psychological elements , the condition of smoking and drinking are obvious.(4) the effects of infection on NBUVB cannot be ignored.Conclusion(1)The effect of NBUVB treatment on psoriasis is evident.(2) factors such as sex, age, the average age of flaring up of disease have no influence on the NBUVB treatment on psoriasis.(3)hyperlipemia, psychological elements, smoking and drinking are the important factors which influence the NBUVB treatment. Attention should be paid to the infection on NBUVB treatment.
