Background : Hydroxyapatite is the most important inorganic composition of bony tissue, occupied 70% of bony tissue , it can make osteoblast proliferate and create new bone . Hydro-xyapatite is used in many fields extensively , such as department of orthopaedics , department of stomatology, plastic surgery , otorhinolaryngology and ophthalmology . Hydroxyapatite is not autologous tissue and has many advantaged fortes .Now scholar around the world carry out plenty of study and research with Hydroxyapatite . In order to boost bioactivity of HA , researchers made porosity bone tissue bracket with some methods , combustion , imitateing biont ,adding pore-forming material and expanding agent ,and so on . But of its low mechanical property , it can not be used extensively . Although we have delectable outcome in the research of hydroxyapatite , we can't enhance its intension and tenacity to meet the need of clinical application fundamentally . For this reason people begin to find a substitute of artificial bone . They make artificial bone , its intension and tenacity approach bone tissue of human being . Fibrin Glue is a kind of extractive of thrombinogen , it is not atoxic and antigenic, can be degradated . Fibrin Glue is used in surgical hemostasis extensively . Mixing hydroxyapatite with Fibrin Glue , artificial bone can fixiform expeditiously .Objective: Compared HA+FG with granulo- hydroxyapatite and silica gel .Investigated the ductileity and biocompatibility of HA+FG .Method: SD rats( 120~150 kg)were arranged to 3 groups randomly. Every two weeks , SD rats were anesthetized and made a 5mm coronal incision between ears , separate the tissue under the shin and muscle , then separate periost to make periost flap . Put the artificial bone , granulo-hydroxyapatite and silica gel between bones of cranium and periost , sut the tissue . After the operation , send back the SD rats to the raiseing room . All rats were killed and checked the example 8 weeks after the operation. Detection:(1) example observation: binding of implant and the tissue , watch if there is any new blood capillary and exclusion .(2)X-ray :observe the binding between the implant and bones of cranium (3) pathology : observe the change inside the implant under the light microscope (4) BMP-2 immunohistochemistry : observe that new bone tissue create (5) new bone tissue areas : under high power lens ,check the new bone tissue areas and count them ,then analyze the data with spss (6) transmission electron microscope : observe binding and new bone tissue between the implant and bones of cranium .Result : Granulo- hydroxyapatite can bind with bone tissue ,but it can not be fixform easily . Silica gel can be fixform easily ,but it can not bind with bone tissue . The artificial bone , HA +FG, has two fortes , it can bind with the bone tissue and has better biocompatibility . Fibrin Glue is avirulent , and it can be degradated .Conclusion : Hydroxyapatite has commendable biocompatibility , it's bone tissue furniture . Fibrin Glue is a biont agglomerant , it is avirulent , and it can be degradated .It makes the artificial bone be fixformed and achieve high intension quickly to blend them . This compounded artificial bone has the same commendable as granulo- hydroxyapatite , and it can connect with the bone tissue . Its biocompatibility is better than silica gel.
