A Control Study Of Mengxinganshen Combined With Haloperidol In The Treatment Of Schizophrenia (Pyrophlegmatic Mania)

Objective To explore the curative effect and side effects of mengxinganshen in thetreatment of schizophreniaMethods 52 patients who met CCMD-3 criteria for schizophrenia were randomlyassigned into mengxinganshen group(26 patients) and placebo group(26 patients).Treatment plan The patients took mengxinganshen or the placebo ofmengxinganshen 3 times a day and 6 tablets each time and took haloperidolsimultaneously.The patients took haloperidol 2mg /d from the beginning and addedthe dosage to 8 mg/d in 4 days and then maintained the fixed dosage (8 mg/d)to the14th day.Curative effect evaluation BPRS(brief psychiatric rating scale), CGI(clinicalgrobal impressions scale) and decrease -score rate of the score for the symptom of thetraditional Chinese medicine were used to assess the clinical effects of the test andcontrol drugs.the TESS(treatment emergent symptoms scale) was used to judge thefrequency and severity degree of the side effects.Laboratory examination Blood routine, urine routine, Hepatic function(ALTand AST), renal function(BUN,Cr), blood glucose and EKG were checked beforetreatment and at the end of 4^th,8^th week(after treatment) respectively.Statistical analysis SPSS12.0 was used in this study.
