Study On Alkaloids From Mahonia Bealei(Fort.)Carr And The Reversal Effect Of The Alkaloids On Tumor MDR

Mahonia bealei(Fort.) Carr belongs to Mahonia Nutt of Berberidaceae.Its root,stem bark and leaf can be used as folk medicine and have effects,such as antibacterial,anticancer,anti-virus etc.The plant is widely distributed in china. However,there are little studies on chemical constituents and biological activities of Mahonia bealei (Fort.) Carr that been reported at home and at abroad.Our research included five aspects.First,we reviewed chemical constituents and biological activities of Mahonia.Second,there is a systemic experiment on the chemical constituents of the Mahonia bealei(Fort.) Carr.And conclude that the main chemical constituents of the Mahonia bealei(Fort.) Carr is alkaloids, flavonoids, volatile Oil etc. Third we analysed essential oils from the stem bark and leaf of Mahonia bealei(Fort.)Carr by GC-MS,96 kinds of essential oils were isolated from essential oils from the stem bark of Mahonia bealei(Fort.)Carr,among which 18 compounds'structures were indentified, and 155 kinds of essential oils were isolated from essential oils from the leaf of Mahonia bealei(Fort.)Carr,among which 28 compounds'structures were indentified,Fouth, three alkaloids were isolated by organic extraction and chromatography.The structures of the three compounds isolated from Mahonia bealei(Fort.) Carr were identified through physical and chemical constants and spectroscopy.They were Berberine, Jatrorrhizine and Palmatine. Finally,we prove that Mahonia bealei(Fort.) Carr can effectively reverse MDR of K562/ADM cells.The study provides theoretic and experimental proof for exploitation of new drugs of MDR reversal agents.
