Objective:Heart disease is the leading cause of death and disability in the world,Reperfusion strategies decreasr the mortality of acute myocardia infarction but the rate of congestive heart failure was increase steadily.As a consequence of myocardial infarction,irreversible damage occurs to myocardial tissues.The adult myocardium cells do not have the capactive for self-renewal.Therefoer,areas of myocardial scarring may compromise myocardial performance and may lead to expansion,thinning and remodeling of left ventricle,with is leading cause of ischemic heart failure and cardiac death.In recent years,efforts to treat severely compromised heart have been made.Cell regeneration may be a new and reasonable therapeutic method.We aim to test autologous transplantation of bone marrow cells treating congestive heart failure after myocardial infarction in mini-swine modelMethods: This research fell into four parts: Obstruction by balloon to creat a standard mini-swine model of myocardial infarction. After 3 weeks,the marrow mononuclear cells were injected into the coronary artery.After 4 weeks,cardiac function and construction were valuated by echocardiography, immuhohis- tochemistry was performed to examine the number of vessels.Results: Obstruction by balloon is a good method in creating a standard mini-swine model of acute myocardia infarctio.4 weeks after transplantation,left ventricu ejection fraction(LVEF)was same as the control group(44.6%±11.9% vs 45.7%±11.2% P>0.05).The number of blood vessels was greater than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Autologous transplantation of BM-MNC by percutaneous intracoronary artery injection into acute myocardia infarctio in mini-swine model do not increase effect on cardiac systolic function.BM-MNC transplanted into myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury region stimulated the formation of blood vessels.
