Objective:Researching the impact of obstructive sleep apnea -hypopnea Syndrome (OSAHS) with different course and different patient's condition on cardiovascular structure and function.Method:75 patients with OSAHS, according to Apnea Hyponea Index and the course of disease, we divided them into six groups: lower grade, medium, heavy group; blow 5 years, 5-10 years, above 10 years groups; We also devided them into hypertension and none- hypertension group. there are 25 persons in control group. All subjects are measured blood pressure, checked polysomnogram and doppler ultrasound of the heart. Compared the morbidity rate of hypertention and the level of blood pressure in OSAHS patients of different course and different degree; compared the inside diameter of cardiac atrium and cardiac ventricle, aorta and pulmonary artery; and the thickness of cardiac ventricle wall ;and compared the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and shortening fraction (FS) and E/A of hypertension and none- hypertension group in order to get the message of the impact of blood pressure on the diastole and contraction function of left ventricular.Result: 1. Compared to control group, the level of blood pressure of lower grade and medium and heavy group increase gradually (P<0.01), the morbidity rate of hypertention in OSAHS patients of different course and different degree is 18.2%,53.8%,81.5% and20%,56%,84% by turns (P<0.05 or P<0.01). 2. Compared to control group, the inside diameter of right cardiac ventricle and main pulmonary artery and the thickness of right cardiac ventricle anterior wall increase obviously (P<0.01), and compared to control group and lower grade ,medium and heavy group and 5-10 years ,above 10 years group increase conspicuously,but the LVEF and FS and E/A cut down conspicuously (P<0.05 or P<0.01)and decrease gradually following with patient's condition and the course of disease. 3. Compared to hypertension and control group, the LVEF and FS and E/A of none- hypertension group cut down conspicuously (P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion: 1.The morbidity rate of hypertention and the level of blood pressure in OSAHS patients increase gradually following with the course of disease extending and patient's condition geting worse. 2.OSAHS can cause structure and function's change of left and right chambers heart,these changes were geting worse because of following with hypertension and getting more obviously following with the course of disease extending and patient's condition geting worse.
