Objective: To investigate the relationship between clinical features, systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index (SLEDAI) and renal pathological classifications in lupus nephritis(LN).Methods: Analyze retrospectively 30 patients with LN registered from year 2000 to 2005. record the patients' clinical features, laboratory values and renal pathological classification , value SLEDAI and analyse statistically.Result: Out of 30 patients , the mean course is 36 month, 5 patients with renal dysfunction and 5 with renal the fist performance. The diffuse mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis ( type IV ) is of the most common .The SLEDAI is between 4-34. SLEDAI of 97.7% LN isabove 10cConclusions: (1)There is certain relationship between clinical features and pathological classifications in LN, we can conclude the latter from the former generally, but they don't always coincide. (2) Renal pathology is of great value in evaluating the severity of LN. (3) Statistically, SLEDAI has no co-relation with pathology classification in LN.
