The Study And Clinic Application Of Self-Ligating Bracket-DAMON SYSTEM

Objective : To acknowledge the new generation of Self-Ligating Bracket Damon System,that equipped with high-tech archwire,which created low friction and light continuous force treatment.Also observe if this system can accelerate the rate of tooth movement and compare this system with typical standard Edgewise system treatment.At same time we can also illustrate the clinical result after using this Self-Ligating Bracket, which expect provide an alternate treatment method for all orthodontics in the future.Materials and Methods:Set the patients that use Damon system as experimental group and patients that choose typical standard Edgewise system as control group. We pick up 4 patients that needed to do full mouth orthodontic treatment from each group began from 01-2005 and finished before 03-2007 as our samples.After completed all the treatment, recorded and compared the difference between experimental group and control group, including all variation in the treatment such as treatment duration , the satisfactory after the treatment etc After all we will demonstrate the treatment results from experimental group.Results:The initial leveling time and average treatment time of the experimental group is less than control group . There were very significantly difference.The average recall intervals of experimental group are longer than control group. There were significantly difference.There were almost no significantly differences between two groups on the occurrence of oral ulcer and the health of oral hygiene.Conclusion:By use of the new generation of Self-Ligating Bracket Demon System that associate with high -tech archwire under the low friction and the light continuous force treatment. We found out that the treatment time of the experimental group was shorter than the control group , the interval between each adjustment was longer and the uncomfortable feeling after each adjustment was slight.
