| BackgroundOzone is known as one of the most powerful oxidants. Having a large excess of energy, ozone is an allotropic form of oxygen containing three oxygen automs, which are being defined and applied to biological systems as well as to clinical practice. Medical ozone (oxygen-ozone, mixture of oxygen and ozone) has been used to cure many diseases including wound, abscess, gangrene, hepatitis, herpes, osteomyelitis, vulvovaginitis, thrombophlebitis, Raynaud's disease, AIDS, etc. For the last decade, oxygen-ozone has been used in some western-European countries for treatment of lumbar discal herniation, and good results were reported. During the process of percutaneous lumbar discectomy with oxygen-ozone injection, it has potential risk that oxgen-ozone may be misinjected into the subarachnoid cavity. Considering this risk, whether ozone has neurotoxicity become a reality and urgent matter. But no animal experimental and pathological literatures were found through detail retrieve. The aim of the study is to investigate the neurotoxicity of oxygen-ozone intrathecal injection with different concentration through observing behavior, biochemistry and neuropathology in the rabbits.1) Influence of oxygen-ozone intrathecal injection on the rabbit behaviorObjective To study the influence of oxygen-ozone intrathecal injection with different concentration on the rabbit behavior.
