Objective : To investigate the cardiopretective effects and the mechanism of preconditioning with isoflurane or sevoflurane .Methods :Thirty-nine ASA II-III(26 male, 23 female) aged 40-75 patients scheduled for elective coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery were randomly divided into three groups of 13 patients : isoflurane group (A), sevoflurane group (B) and control group (C). In group A and group B, the vaporizer was adjusted lvol %-2vol% from the beginning of operation to the beginning of CPB, and before clamping , the vaporizer was shut off and the end-tidal concertration was decreased to 0. The central venous blood samples were collected for the measurements of creatine kinase (CK-MB), cTnI, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) before anesthesia(T1), 15 min after release of aortic cross-clamp(T2),immediately after operation (T3) and3h (T4)24h (T5) after operation. HR, MAP, PAP, CVP, CO and SVR were recorded before skin incision (t1), before CPB (t2), 15 min after CPB (t3) and immediately after operation (t4).Results : At each period of time after reperfussion, compared with T1, the contents of CK-MB and cTnI in all of the three groups increased significantly (p<0.01.). But comparede with group C, the content of CK-MB and CtnI were significantly lower in group A and group B (p<0.01).
