Objective To examine the advanced oxidation protein products (AOPP),advanced glycationend products(AGEs)and malondialdehyde (MDA) in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS) and discuss the relationship between oxidative stress with the development of atherosclerosis(AS).Methods Plasma collected in 57 acute myocardial infarction(AMI) patients (include 35 patients underwent selective PCI & 22 patients underwent emergency PCI),49 unstable angina pectoris(UA) patients and 21 non-coronary artery disease (non-CAD) patients. All cases were underwent coronary angiography (CAG).Plasma collected immediately,post-24 hours and post-48 hours after patients were recruited. AOPP were determined by measurements of optical density (OD) at 340 nm under acidic conditions via spectrophotometry, AGEs levels detected by fluorescence spectroscopy and MDA measured with TBA methods.Results 1.Compared with normal group (without CAD), significantly higher plasma AOPP were detected in AMI (selective PCI)&UA patients(p<0.05). Significant difference also exists between selective PCI group & emergency PCI group in AMI patients (P<0.01).AOPP levels of UA patients were decreased significantly after 48 hours(p<0.05); Pearson Correlation analysis showed that AOPP was positively Correlated to LDL-C in AMI patients(P<0.01).2. Compared with normal group (without CAD), significantly higher plasma AGEs were found in AMI &UA patients(p<0.05). AGEs was positively correlated to AOPP in AMI (selective PCI )&UA patients(P<0.01). AGEs concentration were no difference between patients of 2 type diabetes mellitus and non-DM in the every group(p>0.05).3.
