objective:To investigate the correlationship of waist circumference(WC) and coronary heart disease CHD) by analysing waist circumference and body mass index with blood lipids, plasma glucose, serum uric acid, serum bilirubin distribution and the conclusion of coronary arteriography. methods:One hundred and fifty-three patients (male 112 and female 41) aged from twenty-seven to eighty-six in the hospital with suspected coronary heart disease were studied by the case-contral method, who were divided into two groups according to the results of coronary arteriography: CHD group(n=102),non-CHD group(n=51).Selected cotonary arteriography was completed on Angio-star Plus DSA machine by special cardiac catheterization doctor to gain various vascular picuture of the heart. It was blood lipids, serum uric acid, serum total bilirubin (Tbil),serum direct bilirubin(Dbil) , fasting plasma glucose(FBG), postchallenge plasma glucose(PBG) that were detected by the standard method. We calculated the ratio of LDL-C/HDL-C and TG/HDL-C.Body surveying index consisting of the patients' height, weight and waist circumference was measured and body mass index(BMI) were computed.Data were pooled to analyze the level of blood lipids, serum uric acid,Tbil, Dbil ,FBG and PBG in CHD group versus(VS) non-CHD group and abdominal obesity group VS non-abdominal obesity group.Multiple stepwise regression analysis were applied to assess various risk factors to the hazard of CHD. Results:1.compared with non-CHD group,triglyceride(TG),LDL-C level, uric acid,PBG,...
