Objective: To compare the outcome of posterolateral fusion and posterolateral with interbody fusion for low degree lumbar spondylolisthesis. Method: From April 2000 to April 2004 45 patients who suffered from low degree lumbar spondylolisthesis were dividcd into 2 groups(A and B) at random. The patients in group A were performed posterolaterial bone graft fusion . The patients in group B were performed posterolaterial with interbody bone graft fusion. pedicle screw fixation was performed in both groups. The clinical and radiographic results of the patients were compared between two groups. Results :All the patients were followcd up from 12 to 60 months. In group A, the results showed that the preopcrative clinical symptoms disappeared completely in 12 of 26 patients pain relief was seen in80.8%(21/26), anatomical reduction rate was 92.3%(24/26), the fusion rate was76.9%(20/26). In group B, the results showed that the preopcrative clinical symptoms disappeared completely in 13 of 20 patients pain relief was seen in 90%(18/20) , anatomical reduction rate was 100%(20/20) , the fusion rate was 95% (19/20) .As to discectomy the fusion rate was54.5% for group A and 95% for group B( P<0.05).Conclusion:Posterolateral fusion and posterolateral with interbody fusion were good way to treat lumbar spondylolisthesis, but posterolateral with interbody...
