OBJECTIVES:To determine the expression of metallothionein(MT) in cervical carcinoma and approach wether the expression of MT in cervical Carcinoma is associated with the histology category, histodifferent-Iation and clinical stage. Methods:To collect 93 operative and biopsy paraffin specimens of uterine Cervix cancer in the first affiliated hospital of NanChang University Medical College from Jan. 2000 to Mar. 2005, Which the patients were not given radiotherapy and chemotherpy berfore operation , in which the squamous carcinoma of the cervix were 75 , while the adenocarcinoma of the uterine cervix were 18. Collecting 21 patients' paraffin samples of normalcervix as test reference, whom were given hysterectomy for hysteromyma. All the samples as above were stained with SP immunochemistry to discover the expression of MT in them. Results:1.
