| Objective:To investigate the sexual, psychosocial, and psychosexual function in adults with hypospadias who underwent surgical correction. Materials and methods:From 1984 through 2004, patients with hypospadias and undergone surgical correction in this institution were enrolled. The age at research was beyond 18 years and the follow-up duration was at least 1 year after the final surgery. Self-construct questionnaire, 16PF (Cattell the Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire) , SCL—90 (Symptom Checklist 90) and CIEF—5 (Chinese Index of Erectile Function 5) were applied by mail, phone call and interview. Correlation analysis was performed to screen the chief influential factors of psychological prognosis. Results:One hundred and sixty seven patients were enrolled and sixty nine (41.3%) were contacted, and fifty three (76.8%) of them completed the questionnaire. The average of age was 22.25 ± 3.65 years (from 18 years to 32 years) , the average follow-up duration 9.96 ± 5.44 years (from 1 years to 20 years) , and the average age of primary surgery 12.28 ± 6.5 years (from 4 years to 30 years) .
