The psoriasis (Ps) is a complex disease resulted from various etiological factors under the genetic background. It has complex pathogenic mechanisms that cannot be explained by now. It tends to be recurrent attacks, but the effective radically curative drugs and means are scarce. There is not any breakthrough in the therapy to PS yet. Although the modern medication has a satisfying curative effect in the near future, it cannot be long-term used for its toxicity and side effect. What's more, recurrence and aggravation could occur after drug withdrawal. However, base on holistic concept, Chinese medicine has positive effect but little side effect on Ps. As a result, it is extremely necessary to develop Chinese patent medicine with positive effect and conveniences, but no toxicity and side effect for long-term use, since there is ill medication compliance with patients. The QuYin Granula is a Chinese patent medicine produced by Pharmaceutical Institute of China-Japan Friendship Hospital. As a compound preparation, it is screened from QuYin Tang, an effective Chinese medicinal broth applied for long-term by my advisor Professor Baiyan, according to the latest pharmacology research. And this paper approaches its clinical effect and mechanism of action. The extract is as follows.Literature reviews and research report are the main components in this paper. Two literature reviews are included. The first reviews modern clinic and research development on the Ps. It gains special concerns of the academic circles' owing to its unknown etiological factors and pathogenesis. Besides, it is scarce of effective therapeutic tools. Considerable research has been performed on epidemiology, etiological factors, pathogenesis, and therapy in recent years. The second reviews Traditional Chinese clinic and research development on the Ps including its successive changes, the opinions of neoteric doctors on its pathogenesis and medical and surgical treatment. This report is divided into two parts. One is about clinical research, and the other is about experimental one.We have performed clinical verification on blood-heat syndrome applying with QuYin Granula to approach its clinic effect and safety. The participants include the department of dermatology of China-Japan Friendship Hospital, DongZhiMen Hospital Attached to Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Oriental Hospital Attached to Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital in Shunyi District. There were 70 cases with blood-heat syndrome included in the clinical verification, and 40 cases applied with QuYin Granula and 30 cases for control. The two groups had comparability because there were no significant deviations in the sex, age, course of disease, shape of skin destruction, PASI score before treatment, syndromes score, pruritus, upset, and...
