Lethariella cladonioides belongs to Parmeliaceae in Lichen plants and has the effect of clearing away heat and detoxify , canning the nerves , etc . 11 compounds were obtained from the water extract by chromatographic methods (silica gel column , sephadexLH-20 ) .11 compounds were identified by means of physica-chemical property and spectral data .these eleven compounds are as following : Rhizonic acid(1), Vermicularin (2) ,Salicylic acid(3),Succinic acid(4), Glucose(5), Arabitol(6), Mannitol(7), β-sitisterol(8) ,Daucosterol(9) ,2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-3,6-dimethylben zoic acid (10) ,uridine (11) .compound (1) ,(2), (5) , (7) , (10) , (11) were obtained from this plant fot the first time .
